The village green previously known as School green or town green. The Green opposite is one of six ancient greens of Dore. Originally the town Well was sited roughly in the centre of the green but was moved to the bottom corner in 1975. The Ecgbert Stone was erected on the Green in 1968. Dore Village Society 2010. |
